PayPal resumes electronic withdrawal in India for the second time this year

When PayPal stopped electronic withdrawal for Indian users in February 2010, everyone waited for the removal of the ban.

The reserve bank of India imposed restrictions on PayPal, as it cited statement discrepancies on PayPal’s part.

However, the stalemate ended and again it was happy times for Indian users. The electronic withdrawal system resumed after a month.

It all went well, but it was a rude shock, when PayPal users again got an email in their mail box, that electronic withdrawal system would be put on hold again from August 1st 2010 onwards. There is no reason given, as the letter only mentioned the PayPal’s inability to continue with electronic withdrawal facility at this moment of time.

There is no hint when this ordeal would end. Thousands and thousands of PayPal users in India have no choice but to go for cheque withdrawal facility.

The 31st of August brought good news again; as PayPal issued a statement that it resumes electronic withdrawal facility to the utter relief of Indian PayPal users.

As of now, Indian users could withdraw money through electronic withdrawal system on PayPal.
