Chinese women face hiring issues
Chinese private sector has become a nuisance for Chinese women in the country. The tough hiring laws practiced in China have come in the way of Chinese women, though, on paper, the law protects women.
Women who are pregnant could be fired from their job. A woman is not able to get maternity leave, which means that women are not entitled to have a child while working for a private sector. Such stringent laws practiced in china have not done any good for its women.
Still women have preferred private sector jobs as Chinese private sector jobs offer higher salary compared to the state.
But of late, many women have overlooked private sector jobs for government jobs. At least now, they have more freedom, and can apply for a maternity leave of 90 days, which is very much absent in the private firms.

In fact, the 2005 amendment of protection of woman's right and interests had stressed for more gender equality. But there are loopholes in the laws as well. Why countries are cheapening their currency
The economic disaster which countries are facing in the present scenario has led to the eruption of currency war. Every country in some way is trying to cheapen their currency. It’s probably the best way to come out of an economic slump.

Can India economic success story go wrong?
Everyone in India is aware of the kind of success Indian economy has gained, yet, Indian economic success is not that universal, compared to say, China.
Many leading Indian economists still believe that Indian economic growth is still at a growing stage, and calling India as ‘already emerged’ would be a wrong way of assigning status to India’s growth.
Though, American President Barrack Obama has commented that India has arrived, or has emerged in the global scene, still, there are lot of factors which is still at a nascent stage, before India could be called a global economic power.
However, there’s no doubt that India had fared better to everyone’s surprise. The long list of economic success together with a long haul of purchases from the American and Chinese firms certainly speaks of India’s recent economic success.
The big question is how the government would handle the foreign direct investment.
The government’s capability to handle foreign direct investment would determine how India grows from here on. India is more concerned now with FII flows, but it’s more important for the government to understand that controlling volumes of foreign direct investment (FDI) is more important that FII flows. India should make sure that it controls the FDI investment as early and swiftly as possible. It is exactly where the loop of success of the Indian economic success originates.

Singapore airlines A380 to go for an engine change
Singapore had already grounded its A 380 jets, after a scare atop the Bantam islands in Indonesia.
The A 380 flight which was on its way to Sydney, Australia had to return to its base mid way through the flight because of engine functional collapse. Elaborate tests were conducted, and it was found that traces of oil leak exists on the engines.
After extensive research, the crux of the problem had been traced to A 380 engine. The Trent engines by Rolls Royce need a complete engine change. At present Singapore airlines had already grounded 3 of its A 380 planes, and once the engine problems are not fixed, the planes would remain grounded.
Rolls Royce had asked Singapore airlines to remove the engines so that it gets solved at the earliest.

Intel has locked horns over Nvidia filed case against the chip giant.
The real trouble that has cropped up is Intel’s acquiring of Nvidia patents graphics technologies. Intel has got the right to Nvidia’s patent in a deal which took place in the year 2004. It was a period when Nvidia’s CEO Jen – shun Huang had witnessed a deal with the firm for a graphics design technology, which Intel was desperately seeking to lift its standard of Graphics design.
Nvidia had already established itself in video gaming sector, with its superior graphics design.
However, the turning point came when Nvidia joined hands with Intel in November 2004, but the deal always faced setbacks from the outset. According to Nvidia chief Jen- Shun Huang, Intel breached the deal, even during the initial period; Intel began selling the Nvidia bundled chip-set along with Intel’s CPU at a price which was lower than the price of CPU.
The move offset Nvidia marketing stability. Intel shunned Nvidia chip-sets, instead began using its own chip-sets, in its advance CPU called Nehalem. Nvidia has stressed the fact that its chip sets would have certainly covered the new Intel’s CPU Nehalem.

China has produced the fastest supercomputer in the world. Sources say that the fastest computer build by a Chinese research center is perhaps, 1.4 times the horsepower of the fastest supercomputer till date.

2 million strollers are on its way back
Graco Children’s products Inc, the Atlanta stroller firm has decided to recall more than 2 millions strollers after reports have filtered in that the strollers have resulted in strangulation deaths.
The company says that the strollers pose a series threat to children. A faulty manufacturing process could be the reason for strangulation deaths.

Fox channels out of range in New York
In a major move, Fox channels decided to block its Fox 5 and MY 9 Channels out of the coverage area for cablevision customers. The result is that the New York area cablevision customers couldn’t watch the two main channels of Fox network.
Fox had been in a major disagreement with cablevision. According to cablevision, fox had been charging exorbitant funds to put its two channels Fox 5 and My 9 on air.
Fox officials have gone on record saying that the charges have been very reasonable, considering they broadcast a very superior video programming for all their programs.
Customer seems to be quite annoyed with the disagreement between both parties.

AOL plans to buy Yahoo
Reports have started filtering in that AOL has begun negotiations to buy Yahoo.
Though, the current value of Yahoo is far more than AOL could cough up, still the firm has been trying to rope in private firms to add enough money in their kitty.
The reports of AOL deciding for a Yahoo buyout have had a strong impact on the stock market. The shares have shot up to 6% gains in the aftermath of the reports.
AOL had begun talks with the interested parties, Silver Lake and Blackstone, to part fund the initiative for a Yahoo buyout.
However, it remains to be seen, if such a merger does get into effect. It is highly unlikely that yahoo would seek any merger as of now.

The company had issued a statement that it is prepared to launch nine new phones in the month of November, in at least 30 countries. Although, the phones are not manufactured by Microsoft, the firm would be marketing under its own brand.
According to company sources, the marketing budget is set at approximately $100 million. Some predict that the extent of Microsoft marketing plans may give the firm a good chance to compete against the more established Smartphone firms, apple and android based phones. Still, it won’t be that easy for Microsoft.

IPL governing council scraps two teams
In a rare happening, IPL governing council had taken a decision, which would certainly hurt supporters of two major teams. Rajasthan Royals and Kings 11 Punjab had been shown the exit door, for reasons unknown.
Though, officially the IPL governing council had issued notices that both teams have breached the franchise agreement.
Preity Zinta led kings 11 Punjab whose shareholders included Bombay Dyeing Ness Wadia and Dabur Scion Mohit Burman. Ness Wadia was looking to sell off the franchisee, as some reports have earlier indicated.
Both the teams have stated that they have not received any notice from the BCCI.
The real interest revolves around the player’s auction next month. It remains to be seen how many teams would be included in the fourth IPL, and will the player’s auction be held as scheduled.
It is assumed that both the terminations could be the result of a close nexus to Lalit Modi, the former IPL Boss.
However, the termination clause, according to BCCI was breached by both the teams.
Here are the clauses, which have been breached by both the consortium.
• Difference exists between the actual owners, and the person who signed the agreement papers.

International monetary fund predicts 9.7% growth for India
Indian growth prospects for the year 2010 remains high after what IMF had said recently.
World economic outlook had reported a strong performance from India. International monetary fund has said that due to India's strong showing in the field of industrial production and macro economics, the country is bound to show positive growth rate in 2010.
It has also said that India could very well reach 9.7 % growth in 2010.
The world body had also predicted a strong showing by China. The Chinese seems to be heading for a 10.5% growth in the current year.

Verizon decides to refund money to their customers

The company had issued a statement, which says that it had billed wrongly, due to their own mistake for data sessions. The data sessions, which also includes web initiation charges was billed by the firm.
